someone told me the budget school has earned a budget amount of $1000+ from lending

did CIP at school today - 9 ppl from Singapore School for the Deaf came -

instead of using the sign language ( we were given a card listing all the sign languages for

alphabets and numbers), everybody used handphones and papers - cool right xD - techkid, lol

after 5 mins of interacting, we went to the indoor basketball building and played golf there

our golf coach came to our school and brought lots of rubber golf balls :D - most of them are

teachable except for one indian girl who just can't understand how to hold the golf club, 5 ppl

demonstrated to her how to hold and swing the club yet she hold it as if she's playing hockey.

nevertheless, it was fun teaching them(most) . la la la good night people

phew, everything's over -.- damn tired

have been singing slow religious chinese songs for the past 3 days ( read the hanyu pinyin xD )

gt super fast tempo for some parts, its almost like playing audition's song in 140 bpm

with your mouth.... then have to kneel down for now and then...( this process takes 1.5 hrs each )

i am kinda sad coz i missed sgp's bday celebration - but its okay, coz if i don't go . my father

will be the only child who dont bring a child at all for his father's funeral - so i must be proud xD

( p.s) my rank is also the highest among all grandchildren in my family - just found out

- as for my lil sis , linda , she holds the highest position among all the female granddaughters

altho we are not the oldest xD - so cool lol!

I learned how to be friendly back here ! haha. many ppl who came to visit my grampa's funeral

looked for me, lol. not trying to be hao lian but they are all curious coz they have nvr seen my

father's 1st child .. i have to go around handshaking ppl while folding the 'money' papers

we(me, cousins, aunties, uncles, etc..) made 12 karung of it xD - wednesday was the last day

for ppl to see my grandpa's body, so i was quite lucky - he was dark blue in colour . was scared

at 1st but it was okay after 5 minutes of looking at him.....

we received more than 500 flower bouquets and boards(around 2x4m in size and the words

are made by flowers)from ppl ( some from malaysia, some sgp, and mostly indo ). I think it's a

record breaker. yes, and the process of carrying his coffin to the cemetery ground is the biggest

in my town. Police help was needed to make a clear path for the one hour journey ... its like there

was a major traffic jam in the whole town, lol) my father rented 10 bus for the ppl from overseas

. no one stand in the bus, so there should be around 300 ppl from overseas. other ppl ride on

cars. These vehicles made a 200m line along the road... cars honking everywhere lol!

now everything's over - phew, tired- i woke up at 11.30 tday. will be back in sgp tomolo

i wanna say lots of thx to bhalraam who helped me to get coins for the donation tin lol!

we went to UOB, queued, then i forgot my atm's password lol! so i tried to find the password

using the atm machine, and it turned out that i just forgot one digit -.- the 6 is supposed to be 5

went back to the bank, queued again and we gt 50 ten cent coins .... then bhalraam get some more

coins by exchanging the notes in ntuc popular and other stores -.-

mum also helped me to fill the tin by 25% :)

i got 5 hours of CIP from this activity , not bad lol but i spent $100 filling my tin -.-

okay... umm.... this post is for vicki and timothy or any camera user going to perth ~

start practicing your weather balance accuracy, because this is particularly important during

very bright days ( when the sun is quite strong) , cloudy sky, etc etc...

and learn your exposure bias too . as in if the overall picture is always too bright u can make

itdarker instead of rotating the wheel to adjust your shutter speed every time you want to get

the correct light adjustment.

vicki - i know b&w is great but how to improve if u dun learn colour - use ur creative mode lol

timo - use program mode ( u can adjust the shutter and aperture better ) :D

and if three of us can at least partially master all of these i think we can have good pics

in our flickr after the trip xD and oh, just try your photoshop skill - anyhow oso can

coz thats what i did when i 1st started using it :P

got back my MT papers today, well - its not bad lol! considering 0 second that i spent studying

to vicki: i can't give u my lens, what if i get a900? i will need my 24-70 f/2.8 and

135 f/1.8 even if i use canon i still need my a700 =.= because i have to wait for some time if i

want to have a telephoto lens for canon ....... the max that i can give you is

my 16-80 f/3.5-4.5 p.s not trying to be stingy but that's already the most expensive thing that

i have ever given to my friend , sincerely ~

without parents lol ( yes , can call me mama's boy i am fine with it ) so i gt no idea abt what stuffs

my reply to timo's tag ~

erm i just list all my lenses here and their main usage to me , kay?

- 16-80 f/3.5-4.5 -> my 1st lens, perfect walkaround lens but defocusing is not pro quality -
- 24-70 f/2.8 -> replaced the latter as my main walkaround, pro lens but heavy
- 100 macro f/2.8 -> yes , a macro but also good for portrait becoz of 2.8 wide aperture
- 135 f/1.8 -> my latest and my fave - superb for portrait
- 18-250 f/3.5-6.3 -> most versatile of all - but i wan good pics >:(

btw its impossible to bwing all lenses because my cam bag is damn big. moreover, i still have to

carry a sling bag to put my stuffs in ( water, wallet, passport, etc etc) so it's impossible to bring

heavy stuffs all at once -

to vicki - yes i may have some strength but still gt limit . i carried my a700 with 135mm to

botanic garden - after 2 hours my wrist started to ache lol! talk abt bring 2 a700s with pro

lenses. 4 kg will be hanging on my neck -.-

can any student photographer help me to decide what camera/s to bring to perth ?

i have 2 choices - hard to decide =.=

1) alpha 700 with 18-250 f/3.5 to 6.3 lens - versatile but results maybe unsatisfactory

2) alpha 700 with 135mm f/1.8 and a compact or another a700 with 16-80 ( good pics but heavy)

okay.... now my beloved 135mm f/1.8 lens is away, my father brought it back to indo coz we want

to get the GST refund... so maybe i have to wait for about a week before seeing it again :( - sob

currently using 100mm f/2.8 macro for temporary replacement - btw come my flickr :P

heloo meloo people !!! ^^ - yeah at last i have blogged the 100th time and it's nothing special

though. Well, I tried bringing 2 a700s to botanic garden today, and guess what, I only have 13

pics to upload to flickr =.= not satisfactory but at least most of them are in high quality : D

lots of photography workshops were carried out there - hahaz nubz :P - actually not , because

each and every attendants have their full 'artillery' at their disposal lol! Big Bag, external flash,

huge tripod, and so much more. Now the only reason why i call them nubz is because they can

only focus on an object - as in once their DSLRs are fixed in that position (usin' tripod) they

won't be able to take other pics easily xD - sian but true ........

anyway, wanna say thx to my twin and timothy for giving comments on some of my pics - thx -
